In one fell swoop, the CWE tag team division has been turned upside down and inside out. We have new champions, and the previous title holders were not even there to defend their belts!

Lets start from the beginning:

- Aug 25, 2007 - The Italianos successfully defended their tag team championships against Jessy Jones and his new client Magnificent Matthew.

- Aug 26, 2007 - A contract was signed for a Number #1 contendership match for the CWE Tag Team titles that was to be held at the Quinte Conflict on Aug 31, in Belleville Ontario between the South Side Stranglers and the Wild Stallions.

- Aug 31, 2007 - Commissioner Jodie Jenkins was relieved of his position and a new interim Commissioner was named.  The interim commissioner Ian Prindible wanted to make sure that he was taken seriously as a "No nonsense law and order" commissioner, so he called a meeting with CWE staff and talent and made his first big announcement of his position.

Interim commissioner Prindible declared that he reviewed the tapes from Sault Ste Marie on Aug 25th and saw how the Italianos retained their tag team belts by hitting their opponents over the head with the belt while the ref's back was turned. As such Prindible decided to immediatly strip the Italianos of the CWE Tag Team Championship and the #1 contendership match to occur later that day would now be for the CWE Tag Team Championship.

- Aug 31, 2007 -  The South Side Stranglers swiped the tag titles from the Commissioner's office and paid the hapless ring announcer to announce them as reigning tag team champions.  However, even with this display of cockiness, the Stranglers came up on the short end of the stick as the WILD STALLIONS won the match and became the new CWE Tag Team Champions.
